To be globally competitive in an economy of innovation, our region must have a reliable Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) talent pipeline producing qualified STEM-competent workers. The Lowcountry STEM Collaborative serves as a catalyst for transformational educational models that put 21st century and STEM skills at the center of education.
Since November of 2010, The Lowcountry STEM Collaborative has worked to build a strong network of prestigious leaders in business, government, and education, all working to advance STEM literacy in the tri-county region. We have made extraordinary progress in a very short amount of time, thanks to your effort and support.
We just received word that Boeing has agreed to support the Lowcountry STEM Collaborative over the next three years with a matching grant. Boeing will provide a total of $100,000 over the next three years, provided that we can raise $500,000.
To obtain the full match this year, we must raise $150,000 by November 7, 2011 in cash and/or pledges to be paid in full by December 31, 2012. We will continue to raise the remaining $350,000 through December 31, 2011. Donations to the STEM Collaborative are currently made through the Citadel's Foundation. Please use the form available here to accompany all donations.
You may also donate online through Citadel Foundation's STEM Collaborative Grant Challenge Page.
